Today’s the day!1 My Visual Journaling for Writers2 course is now available to paid subscribers. You can upgrade your subscription here, and easily access all the lessons by clicking on the course title in the nav bar.
I originally taught this course for Rachel Thompson’s Writerly Love community (which I’ve been a member of for a long time!) in 2021. That was such a weird AF time, I was home all. the. time. with two young children (then 7 and 3), and creating and teaching the class was exactly the right outlet. I’m thrilled that it has a new home on my Substack, and that I can offer it to a wider range of people.
For its relaunch, I lightly edited some of the lessons and, in some cases, re-recorded voice overs for the videos (so if you notice some of them sound different, that’s why! I’ve gotten a little more chill when I’m recording myself talking). In revisiting the lessons, I’m even more confident that these exercises will be a lovely addition to your writing practice, particularly if you’re stuck, need inspiration, or are starting something new. I can’t wait for you to dive in.
As always, if you have any questions or comments, please reach out!
I meant to post this yesterday!
also fun for non-writers!
This came at the perfect time.
I have three children aged 6, 4 and 3. The two weeks Easter holiday (here in the UK) is happening from today and I know I need an anchor and some grounding. It’s so odd that when I do find the time for myself, even if it’s 30 minutes when the house is asleep (like right now as I write this) for my creativity, I’m literally a better mum.
I’m going to definitely sign up…so many of the things you put on that one image really jump out to me. And it gives me hope…I won’t be in the trenches of these younger years forever (I’m also a fibro and CFS sufferer, which came after having my babies….I don’t know why I always feel the need to add in that caveat. I feel judged as a mum who doesn’t *do it all* probably 😑) and so I do struggle.
Is the course free to subscribers? Or subscribers have the ability to pay for the course?
