I have not been following along but really enjoyed this post and am going to try to track down a copy today and join in now. I’ve had The Artist’s Way out of the library before and have dipped in, and have tried to adopt morning pages in the past, but I also struggle with early mornings, especially in the winter, and also with consistency. I do want to read more about media deprivation.

Thanks so much, Rebecca! I think The Artist's Way contains a longer (better?) discussion of media deprivation. I'll be starting Seeking Wisdom, another one of her 6-week Artist's Way programs, in March if you want to follow along in real time. Here's my reading schedule for the rest of the year: https://theworkbooks.substack.com/p/introducing-the-creative-kingdom

Hi Julia, i’m starting to get curious about this book just reading your posts about your engagement with it. I think i’ve heard other people at other times mention it but thought that as i’m not an artist, it’s not a book for me. I really like your way of dialoguing with the contents and finding your own way 🙂 Penn x

Thanks for following along, Penn! I think Cameron's books are for pretty much everyone, although some of them (like this one) are a little bit more directed to writers, specifically. I truly believe it's human nature to be creative and her books are gentle (and sometimes not-so-gentle) nudge towards a more creative life.
