In my last year's journal, you can see *exactly when* you shared your reading log set up. I was utterly in love and printed out stickers for every title I was reading!
For our homeschool, I never really could keep up with pre-reading. Either we read it aloud / listened to the audiobook together, we buddy read (same time, separate copies) or they were reading things that I hadn't read, at least recently.
I still love last year's reading log, I wonder if I'll ever top it!
I'm recapping my summer reading next week but spoiler alert: I did not keep up with pre-reading. Like, at all. I kinda wish I had, because I did not love our first novel study of the year. Luckily my kid seemed to like it, I just thought it was lacking depth. Instituting a new rule for myself that I don't commit by buying a novel study for a book I'm not familiar with.
Hey! I tried looking up your bingo list but couldn’t find it, what a good idea! If you can, would you mind sharing the one you’ve used?
I haven’t used a Hobonichi previously but looking them up, I love the look of the Hobonichi Techo - Weeks (MEGA) and the Cousin Planner 😍
I think I’ll always be a person who needs multiple formats for writing (and my art). I was trying to condense my sketchbook and journal for a while and I had to keep reminding myself it’s fine to have multiple books on the go ✍️ 🎨 🖊️
I haven’t used a book journal before but I will definitely try it out. There’s so many books I’m passionate about but as time goes on I tend to forget! I need a resource for recommendations and gift ideas.
The struggle between wanting to condense for simplicity's sake but needing different formats is seriously the struggle of my life. Right now I'm in multiple books and am more or less accepting of it but it's literally always on my mind!!
The book bingo is from Rachel Thompson (https://rachelthompson.co/). I think it's open to everyone, but she sent it through her newsletter (if you scroll to the bottom you can sign up). msg me your e-mail and I'll forward it to you, there's some good prompts on there!
Outsiders is a classic!
I'm excited to reread it! It was assigned in middle school or high school so it's been awhile!

Super good rule....but those adverts can be so full of promise!
